Declaration
A customs declaration for an individual can be filled out in Georgian, or English. The customs declaration form can be obtained at the border.
Money
Bringing cash (securities) into Georgia without declaration is allowed up to 30,000 lari or the equivalent amount in foreign currency. When bringing in larger amounts without declaration, a fine of 3,000 lari to 10% of the amount depending on the sum will be imposed.
Article 169. Illegal export and import of cash and securities across the customs border of Georgia
- Export or import through the customs border of Georgia of cash and securities in an amount exceeding 30,000 lari or their equivalent in another currency, but not exceeding 50,000 lari, bypassing customs control or secretly from it, or by inaccurate declaration - entails a fine of 3,000 lari or confiscation of the specified goods free of charge.
- Export or import through the customs border of Georgia of cash and securities in an amount exceeding 50,000 lari or their equivalent in another currency, but not exceeding 100,000 lari, bypassing customs control or secretly from it, or by inaccurate declaration - entails a fine of 5,000 lari or confiscation of the specified goods free of charge.
- Export or import through the customs border of Georgia of cash and securities in an amount exceeding 100,000 lari or their equivalent in another currency, bypassing customs control or secretly from it, or by inaccurate declaration - entails a fine of 10 percent of the value of the cash and securities exported or imported bypassing customs control or secretly from it, or by inaccurate declaration, or confiscation of the specified goods free of charge. Note. In the case provided for by this article, inaccurate declaration is considered if the total value of the declared goods and undeclared goods exceeds 50,000 lari or their equivalent in another currency.

Things
Parcels with a value of up to 300 lari are exempt from customs duties and declarations (for alcoholic beverages, perfumes, toilet waters, tobacco and tobacco products, this applies only in case of shipment to a person residing in Georgia and subject to the restrictions specified in Article 186, paragraph 5).
Article 185. Import of a small-value consignment
- According to this article, import tax exemption applies to the import of any batch of goods consisting of low-value goods, which is sent to a recipient in Georgia from a foreign state;
- For the purposes of the first part of this article, "low-value goods" means a batch of goods worth up to 300 lari;
- The benefit provided by this article does not apply to alcoholic beverages, perfumes, toilet waters, tobacco, and tobacco products.
Or up to 500 lari in case of carrying personal luggage weighing up to 30kg.
Article 190. Import of personal luggage by passengers
Import by a passenger is exempt from import tax:
a) food products not intended for economic activity, provided for in groups 02, 04, 06–12 and 15–21 and commodity items 0302–0307 and 2201–2202 of the HS, with a total value of no more than 500 lari, a total weight of up to 30 kilograms, once within 1 calendar day;
b) goods not intended for economic activity, provided for in groups 28–97 of the HS (except for code 3824 90 980 01 of the HS), with a total value of no more than 500 lari, a total weight of up to 30 kilograms, once within 30 calendar days;
c) goods provided for in part 5 of Article 186 of this Code, in quantities determined by the same part, taking into account the notes to the same part.
Medications
The import of certain medicinal products is prohibited (the full list is in the Law of Georgia), except for personal medication (i.e. with supporting documents). However, these medications may need to be declared in the country you are entering.
Article 19. Import into Georgia and export from Georgia of a pharmaceutical product subject to special control for the individual needs of a physical person
A physical person (including a physical person transiting through the territory of Georgia) has the right to have narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for medical purposes with proper medical documents and documents related to the movement of goods across the customs border of Georgia.
